Red Dot Optics Class

Date: July 23, 2023

Time: 9:00 am-5:00 pm

Requirements:
• Handgun with a slide mounted optic
• Sturdy kydex style holster
• Eye Pro/ Ear Pro-(electronic preferred)
• 450 rounds of reliable ammo (student may use dry fire to reduce round count) ammo available for sale at the range

This is NOT a beginner class. You must have previous training with a vetted instructor or school AND the ability to consistently make “A” zone hits at 7 yards OR prior approval from the instructors. If you are unable to perform at the required skill level you will be allowed to remain in the class, however the pace of the class will not be reduced, and the curriculum will NOT be modified. ANY GROSS SAFETY VIOLATIONS WILL RESULT IN THE STUDENT BEING DISMISSED FROM CLASS AND NO REFUND WILL BE ISSUED.

Intermediate Skillbuilder:

This course is for the intermediate shooter who wishes to take their shooting skill
to the next level!

Classes will focus on building from the primary skills the shooter has learned to increase accuracy and speed. This class will also introduce the shooter to multiple targets, reactive targets, the use of cover and concealment, one handed shooting and malfunctions clearances. Dry fire and live fire drills will be given to students along with a “range diary” and instruction on how to track their progress to ensure their practice is goal driven and effective.

Items needed:

  • Handgun (Semi auto or revolver)
  • 2 magazines or speed loaders
  • Eye protection
  • Ear protection (electronic preferred)
  • 100 rounds of ammunition
    (Students may reduce ammo count with dry fire)

Tactical Skills Builder

* Drawing from a Holster
* Controlled from a Holster
* Low Light Shooting Techniques
* After Action Drills

* Approximately 75 rounds needed This class is a quick set of drills organized to help the shooter brush up on concepts and skills you have already been taught. Most shooters work on these things very little after receiving initial training, and the purpose of this class is to hone skills that often don’t get enough practice.

Initial CCW Course for NEW Stanislaus County Applicants

This course is designed ONLY for INITIAL CCW APPLICANTS for Stanislaus County Residents.

This is an 8-hour class offered over the course of TWO DAYS. Class will be held Tuesday night from 5:30-9:30 p.m. AND Thursday night from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Your attendance on BOTH days is MANDATORY in order to receive your Certificate of Completion.

Stanislaus County CCW Renewal Course

*ONLY for CURRENT Stan County CCW Permittees. Not yet approved for surrounding Counties.
* This course is designed ONLY for CCW RENEWALS for Stanislaus County Permittees. This is a 4-hour course offered on Thursday nights from 5:30-9:30 p.m.
* The course is offered in a climate-controlled classroom, and features an on-site, climate-controlled 10 lane indoor shooting range so no travel during class is necessary. We are your one-stop shop for CCW Renewals in Stanislaus County!

 

Introduction to Handgun

* Basic Handgun Anatomy
* Proper Grip, Sight Alignment, Stance, & Trigger Press
* Basic Firearm Safety
* Handgun rentals available upon request
* 50 Rounds of Ammunition Required
  This class is designed for new shooters or those looking to work on the basics of shooting a handgun. During the classroom session we cover what each part of the gun is, what causes a bullet to go bang, and what each part of our body should be doing when shooting.
